Nic Pendregaust


Nic has over 20 years of experience, working for large international corporates in learning and development, leadership development and talent acquisition and development. The roles she has had have been both in-house and in RPO (recruitment process outsourcing) organisations. Her experience has been gained, working in a wide range of industry sectors, from telecommunications and construction to banking and professional services.

Nic started her career at a global IT consultancy and outsourcing organisation, working with Senior Executives to design and deliver learning and development strategies where she focussed on programme design, training delivery and facilitation.

During her time at Vodafone, Nic held various Learning and Development and Leadership Development roles, specialising in people management development, hi-potential assessment and development, career planning, coaching and mentoring. Here Nic set up the Vodafone’s first ever Graduate programme in 2009, recruiting 50 graduates across the UK. This saw her managing a large scale project that touched every aspect of a new Graduate’s professional life cycle from attraction and selection to their offer management, on-boarding, rotation management, performance management and annual development programme.

Her last role before joining was for Deloitte, one of the top four professional services organisations, where Nic was a Schools Programme Design Manager responsible for introducing a work experience programme for 16-17 year olds. This was rolled out nationally across six locations to 230 Year 12 & 13 students. Working at Deloitte provided Nic with a true insight into the emergent apprenticeship recruitment market.

Nic’s main areas of expertise include:

  • Training design and delivery (including induction)
  • Team effectiveness and workshop facilitation
  • Design and delivery of competency based assessment and development centres at apprentice, intern, graduate and leadership level on an national and international level
  • Design and management of graduate, intern, work experience, apprenticeship and leadership programmes

Nic holds a 2:1 degree in European Business (with French and German) from the University of South Wales and has been a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) since 2004.

Nic is BPS (British Psychological Society) Level A and B qualified, to deliver and interpret occupational testing and personality questionnaires, particularly MBTI and OPQ32 together with tools such as Hay Lite for Senior Leaders, Insights and SDI.

Outside of her freelance work, Nic is a coach, counsellor and hypnotherapist.
