Merroney Williams

Merroney is a business and coaching psychologist, qualified in a number of scientifically valid psychometric assessments; executive selection is an area of specialism for her.

During her studies she worked as an assessment centre assessor for middle to senior management for the Fire and Rescue Service, undertaking competency-based assessments through a range of exercises including role play, group exercise, in-tray, and interview.

Following her graduation from her masters in occupational psychology, with distinction, at Northumbria University, she went to the work in the UAE and delivered leadership assessments to the Government of Abu Dhabi.  During her tenure in Dubai, she successfully designed a number of assessment materials including competency-based interview frameworks, as well as mapping psychometric tools to existing assessment materials.  Her role extended to the facilitation and management of development centres for government leaders.

On her return to the UK in 2012, she was employed as Assessment Manager for Network Rail and undertook the management of their graduate and apprenticeship assessment centres.  This role included the planning and delivery of large-scale assessment centres across the UK, for their graduate scheme as well as engineering and management levels applicants.  During this time, she designed and delivered an in-house assessor training programme for assessors engaged in the assessment centres as well as a construct validity evaluation of the materials which led to developing more scientifically accurate tools, inline with organisational objectives.

In 2015, she decided to venture into self-employment and since then has seen a wealth of projects involving executive assessment covering a wide range of industries.  Her experience includes: designing assessment materials; designing and delivering assessor training; facilitating and managing assessment centres; delivering assessment materials such as interviews, role play, case studies, presentations, in-tray, group exercises, etc; a variety of methodology including competency frameworks, values-based assessments, situational judgement assessments, and behavioural indicators.

She comes highly recommended through client and peer feedback, being recognised as an expert in this field.
