Louise Carreras

Associate

Louise has been working in HR and recruitment for over 15 years. She has experience of working across a wide range of industry sectors varying from Management consultancy to the public sector. Louise started her career at a global IT consulting firm where she was responsible for the attraction and selection of graduates, industrial placements and MBAs from the leading US, UK, Australian and European universities. Whilst here she also worked as HR business partner for the Financial Services arm of the firm, working closely with the Director of this area on a wide variety of projects including union negotiations.

Since 2004 Louise has worked as a freelance recruiter working with a number of blue chip organisations as well as small, more niche organisations looking for something different to the standard graduate recruitment approach.
Louise has worked with organisations at all stages of the recruitment process from identification of needs through to design and delivery, as well as onboarding. She has also worked with organisations to design and deliver in-house assessor training. Louise has experience of campus brand management as well as social media activities to attract and retain the best talent through the highly competitive student recruitment market.

Louise has experience delivering talent management programmes, a key project was working with an IT consultancy to create a “next step” programme for key ex-graduate programme candidates and integrating non graduate programme employees into a 2 year development programme. This was designed to develop and retain key talent within the organisation and deliver strategic leaders to the business.

Outside her freelance work Louise is active as a secondary school Governor. She has set up an HR committee and is actively involved in setting the strategic direction of the school and has overseen departmental and leadership restructures and the introduction of performance related pay. She has driven a talent management programme and an employee recognition scheme. This work has also helped her to understand the apprenticeship recruitment market from a different perspective.

Louise is BPS level A and B accredited and she also has a degree in History and a PgDip in Archaeology and Heritage Management’
